I don’t know if SPBID has ever looked into SGC as a possible funding source. SGC has a variety of grants and I think loans that may fit with what we’re trying to do regarding the 
"East-West" route. I don’t have the time to dig deeply into their programs but I know they have $$$ and I don’t know how successful they've been getting it out.

Health In All Policies' Equity in Government Practices Action Plan

We are proud to endorse and release the Health In All Policies (HiAP) Task Force's Equity in Government Practices Action Plan. This three-year Action Plan (2018-2020) articulates 
commitments from nearly 20 departments and agencies to increase government capacity for equity, incorporate equity into grants, guidelines, and other programmatic work, and develop 
institution-wide racial equity action plans. This plan really focuses on building the capacity of state government to promote equity through programs, guidelines, and institutional 
practices.

CAL FIRE Climate Change Investment Grants

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is administering California Climate Investment (CCI) grant funds to partners through grant awards that will help the 
State reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sequester carbon. The following grants are available: 


* Forest Health Grant: Concept Proposals will be due on February 21, 2018 by 3:00 PM. This includes California Forest Legacy projects. Up to $200 million is available. 

* Urban and Community Forestry Grant: Concept Proposals will be due on February 26, 2018 by 3:00 PM. There will be three types of projects for which Concept Proposals will be accepted. 
Up to $20 million is available. 

* Fire Prevention Grant: CAL FIRE is working with the California Air Resources Board to finalize grant administrative requirements. Up to $5 million is available.

EPA Now Accepting Applications for Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Grants 


The United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Justice is accepting applications for its Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving (EJCPS) 
Cooperative Agreement Program. During this funding cycle, $1.2 million will be available to eligible community-based Internal Revenue Service nonprofit groups and federally recognized 
tribal organizations to support environmental justice-related projects across the nation. Ten projects are expected to be awarded in total, one project awarded per US EPA region.The 
maximum grant amount is $120,000, and the grant term is expected to start September 1, 2018. 


Applications must be received by 8:59 pm, PST on Friday, February 16, 2018. Cal EPA plans to announce the grant awards by August 2018.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has awarded $9.64 million in grant funding to 17 alternative manure initiatives across the state. These projects, part of the 
Alternative Manure Management Program, or AMMP, will reduce greenhouse gas emissions on California dairy farms and livestock operations by using manure management practices that are 
alternatives to dairy digesters. AMMP grant recipients will provide an estimated $2.7 million in matching funds for the development of their projects.
